3-Color Desert MA-1

Some of you sharp eyed watchers out there might have noticed that in the pilot for Stargate SG-1, the off world team were wearing 3-color desert flight jackets that didn't look exactly like the more familiar WEP jackets from the series run. They have a different collar without the button flap and the interior lining is a bright orange color. Above is an image from the pilot, clearly showing this style of jacket.

The style of flight jacket is the MA-1, in 3-color desert camo. You can get a very detailed history of the jacket by going to www.flightjacket.com, but they do not have it available in the tri-color camo.

After a lengthy search for this type of jacket to round out my collection, I got a heads up from Dave at Stargate6.com, who found this resource. He let me know that this type of jacket can be obtained for under $100 at Army*Navy Sales.

I ordered mine this morning. Let the stargatery re-commence!

Got my new MA-1. It is delicious. Feels just a little bit small for a large, but I'm getting larger again too...will have to start running and exercising again, to get my body down to a canon weight and I'm sure it will fit fine again.

Hoping to get the deluxe full series box set and start watching each show in the appropriate uniform soon.

My geekdom knows no bounds.

Just so you know, I found your WEP jacket, available at http://www.uswings.com/nylon.asp
You will need to scroll down until you see it, but it is there and something that might help you and your readers with their own searches.
Also, if you are looking for a MUCH nicer M9 replica, check out the KWA M9 PTP gas blow back replica. It is all metal, has functioning decocker and when fired has a very nice recoil and report that is much louder then the majority of other GBB airsoft pistols.
Also, to update your infor about the P90, there are several companies making them now, so Classic Army and Echo1 have reasonably priced versions that you might also post for your reader to look at. I bought a Classic Army Sportline version at http://www.precisionairsoft.net/Classic-Army-Sportline-CA90-value-package-p/cas130.htm that is a really nice replica, and was under $200 including shipping, so a pretty nice deal.
